About

The Flexible Integration of Renewable Energy (FIRE) project seeks to integrate more renewable energy into the energy system, without compromising the security of supply. The partners of the project have together developed algorithms that can balance green energy in our electricity system. The utilization of such algorithms is a significant condition if we are to achieve the ambition CO2-reduction targets in Denmark.

Through investigating the potentials in flexible balancing of energy production, energy storage, sector coupling and usage, the project will develop business cases and new models for improved balancing of the renewable energy in the energy system.
