Green Balancing Power (Grøn Balancekraft)

The purpose of the project was to develop a technoeconomic basis for decision for commissioning a demonstration project in Mariagerfjord Municipality. The pre-study investigated the suitability of the salt caverns in Hvornum, Denmark as a storage solution for green energy gasses such as hydrogen and methane. These activities were conducted as a part of the ambition to establish the needed green balancing power capabilities for a future danish energy supply without fossil energy.
