Power2Hydrogen

Power2Hydrogen was the preliminary project conducted prior to the EU-supported HyBalance project. Power2Hydrogen laid the first building blocks for establishing one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen production plants at Hobro in Denmark.

The purpose of the Power2Hydrogen project was to demonstrate how hydrogen for high-value markets such as transport and industry can be produced through PEM-electrolysis. The focus of the project also included investigating how the PEM-electrolysis plant could be utilized for balancing the electricity grid by producing hydrogen when there is excess electricity available.
