About
The green generator aims to test and demonstrate a sustainable, green, and efficient substitute for diesel generators as well as green battery solutions.
The solution is based on further innovation of the HTPEM (High Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell solution into a system that matches the performance of a traditional diesel generator but with a significant reduction in pollution.
The system, which can be integrated into smaller units or as a container solution, runs on green methanol, thus becoming a flexible, sustainable solution with many applications. In terms of operation, the solution is additionally easy to manage and logistics-friendly compared to, for example, a 100% battery solution, and it will not need to be moved ad hoc for charging, as it has an integrated tank.
Deliverables
Applications
The green generator will be tested in 2 different environments: CO2 neutral construction sites and at a number of cultural events. In these application areas it will support energy needs for the electrification of mechanical vehicles, tools, trailers, etc.

Partners
The project brings together partners from across the entire value chain, including development, production, and end-users, and runs until 2026 as part of the North Jutland business beacon, CO2Vision.
The project is co-financed by React-EU funds and is part of the North Jutland business beacon, CO2Vision which is supported by Danmarks Erhvervsfremmebestyrelse with funds from the EU’s Regional Development Fund.
The innovation project has great potential. The wide range of applications, such as cultural events and construction sites, provides a high potential and an energy technology with a scalable solution.
