NEL ASA has signed a letter of intent with Uno-X Gruppen for the rollout of minimum 20 hydrogen refueling stations covering all the major cities in Norway within 2020.

The target is that FCEVs (fuel cell electric vehicles) can drive between the most populated cities in Norway within 2020. The hydrogen refuelling stations will be built in cities like Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and Kristiansand among others.

And there are many advantages for FCEV owners in Norway. The Norwegian government has decided that there are no vehicle or value added tax, free public parking and free passage on toll roads.

Furthermore, with hydrogen in Norway being 100% renewable, it is an obvious country for the introduction of the hydrogen vehicles.

NEL and Uno-X will establish a joint venture, owned by Uno-X and NEL with 51 % and 49 % respectively.
